FROM STAFF REPORTS: In May, the tenth annual EXXXOTICA Expo adult industry trade show at the Miami Beach Convention Center attracted a diverse crowd of more than 20,000 people – Black, White, Hispanic; young and old; singles, groups and couples; males and females; and saints and sinners – to the largest adult consumer event in the country. There was a wide range of seminars, stage shows, contests, exhibitors and adult performers.

Black adult video stars Diamond Jackson, Candace Von, Kim Eternity, Lexington Steele, and Nyomi Banxxx and female dominatrix Jayden Kane made appearances and spoke to a Florida Courier reporter about what it was like to work in the adult industry.

Christian evangelical groups also made an appearance. Outside, protesters held up signs; inside, www.xxxchurch.com, which calls itself “the #1 Christian porn site, gave away a booklet (actually a miniature Bible containing the book of John) entitled, “Jesus Loves Porn Stars.”

Attendees enjoyed the “Hottest Frat Dude” contest and the Men of Adonis dance troupe, met their favorite adult stars, and watched the Ms. EXXXOTICA competition. Seminar topics included, "Bring Out Your Adult Centerfold," "What Every Woman Wants to Know," "Creating Successful Adult Websites," and "Unlearn Vanilla Marriage." There was also an erotic burlesque show and a concert by local hip-hop legends 2 Live Crew.

The EXXXOTICA expo moves to Chicago July 8-10; Los Angeles August 26-28; and New York/New Jersey November 4-6.
